  • Number of Hours per Week: 35 (thirty-five)
  • Hourly Wage Rate: $18.00
  • Language required: English (French is an asset)
  • Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Be based locally in Elliot Lake, ON, or within commuting distance (NOTE: This is NOT a remote or hybrid position)
  • Be a new entrant into the workforce, or be transitioning to a new career, or be unemployed or underemployed and entering a new field
  • Have not previously participated in a NOHFC-funded internship

Tasks required for the job

  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, HTML, etc., posted on platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X, as well as the organization's websites and other assigned websites) that builds meaningful connections with identified target audiences and encourages responses to calls to action, including through using A.I. (artificial intelligence) tools and automation
  • Assist in the development and execution of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Optimization (SMO) and Social Media Marketing (SMM) strategies through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification for various entities
  • Continuously improve performance by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players, coordinate actions, develop creative assets, and execute campaigns to carry out information-based initiatives as assigned
