The DiversityCanada Foundation has designed several internship positions for post-secondary graduates under its Career Enhancer Foreign Internship Project.
These funded internships provide young professionals with the opportunity to utilize relevant skills learned through their academic program; develop flexibility, inter-cultural effectiveness, and readiness to work in new environments; learn self-reliance, strengthen language skills and inter-personal skills; and develop personal and professional confidence and the ability to participate in the global economy.
Candidates qualify to participate as an intern if they are:
These placements are for six months with some of the leading companies, financial institutions and non-profit organizations in Europe, Central America and South America, as well as in the United States. These positions are offered under the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade's Young Professionals International program.
