Nicholas Trzeciak of Quebec City, Quebec, completed a Bachelor of Commerce (International Management) at the University of Ottawa. He is fluent in English and French and speaks advanced Spanish. He will take up a placement in International Institute for Developement of Citizenship, based in Anápolis, Brazil.
During the placement, Nicholas will act as a projects assessor at the general IIDAC office and will also do field tasks in Vitoria City in the Espirito Santo State.
In the framework of the United Nations Millennium Project, he will assist in establishing a national and international network between programs and projects by/with/for youth and the environment promoted by the United Nations system, the Brazilian federal government and other environmental foundations and structures of a national or international character.
He is expected to participate in the construction of a project database for 2006 to be published and used for training purposes; participate in the mapping of youth participation in Vitória in 2006; participate in the production of reports; participate in the production of the results of original research in the broad range of scientific areas; and participate in the planning of youth exchanges. The placement is set to start on August 01, 2006.
