Teri McRae moved from Ajax, Ontario, to Richmond, Virginia, to attend the University of Richmond’s International Studies and Spanish programs.
During her studies, she augmented her language skills while working at the International Hospital for Children in Richmond, translating conversations with doctors and medical documents for Spanish-speaking families, and providing emotional and cultural nurturing for families visiting from developing countries.
In addition to Spanish, McRae speaks English, French and Portuguese. Teri left for Juliaca, Puno, Peru, to undertake a work experience with Collectivo Integral De Desarrollo, which supports the business development of new enterprises.
Following orientation and dialogue with the member of the technical team from CID, Teri will support the organization’s market research on the needs and demands of young entrepreneurs. She will also assist in advising enterprising youth in business management themes, leadership, etc; assist in preparation and dictation of workshops, in business management, leadership, etc; and assist in the diagnosis on the conditions and potentialities of the beneficiaries of CID’s services.
