Gayathri Kasupathipillai received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, with a concentration on Latin America, from the University of Calgary, Alberta.
Her knowledge of Spanish facilitated her participation in the Latin American Field School in Puebla, Mexico, offered through her university.
She wants to build a career in international relations in order to support positive change around the world. She has already made global contributions by helping promote three major tsunami fundraisers while working for the Sri Lankan Canada Association of Calgary.
Her work experience will be in Hungary with the Budapest office of the Junior Chamber International, a federation of young professionals and entrepreneurs with over 6,000 chapters in more than 100 nations.
She will assist with the organization's every day communication with its national presidents in 38 European countries and with the Headquarters in the USA; assist with the supervision and coordination the organization's various programs and awards; assist in making arrangements for the JCI European Academy and JCI World Congress; assist with project-work such as as the JCI Know-How Transfer with the European Parliament; assist in creating presentations; as well as assist in providing general administrative support.
